The brilliant sun is far away; still, at dawn its soft glow makes the drooping lotus buds bloom. Similarly, O Jina ! Let alone the immeasurable powers of your eulog, mere utterance of your name with devotion destroys the sins of the mundane beings and purifies them.

जिस प्रकार अरुणोदय के समय सहस्ररश्मि सूर्य तो बहुत दूर रहता है, किन्तु उसकी कोमल प्रभा का स्पर्श ही सरोवर में मुरझाये, अलसाये कमलों को विकसित कर देता है।

उसीप्रकार हे जिनेश्वरदेव! समस्त दोषों (पापों) का नाश करने वाले आपके स्तोत्र की असीम शक्ति का तो कहना ही क्या; किन्तु श्रद्धा-भक्तिपूर्वक किया गया आपका नाम उच्चारण (माला) भी जगत-जीवों के पापों का नाश कर उन्हें पवित्र बना देता है।
